Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a fantastic way to support a local farm while getting the freshest organic produce available!
Members pay us a lump sum at the beginning of the year which we invest in seeds, soil, and equipment. We offer various options with our CSA, and aim to provide CSA members with lots of choice and flexibility in order to maximize happiness and minimize waste!
In 2015 we will have four pickup options: The Farm at Our House Pickup (Wednesdays, May-Nov), Silver Spring Market Pickup (Saturdays, Feb-Dec), Annapolis Market Pickup (Sundays, May-Nov) and Crystal City Market Pickup (Tuesdays, April-Nov). Pick-Your-Own Produce for all Members All CSA members are welcome to the farm Wednesday from 4-8pm or at other pre-arranged times for pick-your-own flowers and herbs. There will also be other opportunities to pick your own produce based on the seasonal abundance of our crops.
Member Events Our CSA members are invited to the farm for two special events, our farm tour day in May and our Harvest Potluck at the end of the season.
Volunteering Members are not required to volunteer, but are welcome to! We offer a $50 rebate for members who volunteer 15 or more hours on the farm. In particular, we need assistance distributing the CSA shares from the farm pick up site and help with our newsletter, but committed volunteers are also welcome to help us with the harvest and other farm activities. We will arrange a few member volunteer days throughout the season.
