Ensalada Tipica (Typical Costa Rican Salad

Recipe compliments of Lisa Ramirez, Assistant Farm Manager 2012 season.

Ensalada Tipica is customarily served with rice and beans, and a protein source such as meat or fish

Red and/or Green cabbage, finely shredded
Tomato, chopped
Cilantro, torn
Heart of Palm, sliced
3-5 limes
salt & pepper
avocados

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, tomatoes, torn cilantro and sliced heart of palm. Juice limes over salad to taste. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with avocado.
