MissionThe mission of The Farm at Our House is to grow high quality organically certified produce and to provide the young people with work opportunities that stimulates learning, growth, and responsibility.

Where can you find our produce? We attend the Silver Spring Farmers Market (year round, Saturdays 9-1). We also supply local grocery stores like Roots Market in Olney and have contributed thousands of lbs of fresh produce to Manna since the start of the Pandemic.
We also offer a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Our CSA offers members good value for our produce, plus the chance to come to the farm for free you-pick opportunities. CSA members can pick up on Wednesdays at the farm (19715 Zion Rd., Brookeville, MD) and Thursdays in the College Gardens neighborhood of Rockville and Sundays in Bethesda. We grow a great selection of crops. In addition to a wide selection of annual vegetables, we also grow small fruits and mushrooms. |
About Our House*
The Farm at Our House is located at Our House, a residential job-training center for abused, abandoned, and orphaned youth. The adolescent boys at Our House come from all over the state of Maryland and Washington D.C. Our House gives them a second chance at being productive working members of the community. They receive counseling and training in carpentry, landscaping, construction and small engine repair, GED preparation, and life skills. Through a collaboration with The Farm at Our House, the young men can choose to gain employment and experience in organic farming.
