Silver Spring CSA/ Market Credit

We have GREAT NEWS to share!!!
We have been a produce vendor at Silver Spring Farmers Market (Sat 9am-1pm) for over 8 years. And now we are excited to start accepting new members to our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program at the market. As usual CSA members help us the most towards our mission of a more localized food system. One difference is at Silver Spring, we operate on Market Credit system. We currently offer 2 types of share, half share with value of $200, and full share with value of $400.
Benefits of being our CSA members:
- Access to high quality, fresh, nutritious food: our farm located in Olney/Brookeville which is only half of hour driving up North from Silver Spring, our produce is grown and harvested within days of markets, except to some storage crops like potato, sweet potatoes, winter squash, etc...
- Wider range of vegetables compared to other farms: we are proud to grow and offer a wider range of varieties to our diverse community in Montgomery County. We grow Asian greens, from bok choy, gailan, to water spinach, winter melon to bitter melon, hot chili pepper to lemongrass, the list goes on.
- A direct connection to us, the farmers: you can directly ask us about our growing practices and values.
- Join a community: we have been serving people at Silver Spring for more than 8 years, and we plan to do it much longer, with efforts from both of us, we can create a stronger community.
- With Market Credit system, you would be more flexible to choose when to pick up your vegetables, and pick what you want. Upon first pick up, we will give you a membership card/ like a debit card, you just need to show it to us whenever you pick up.
